Taronga Zoo

Taronga Zoo is the best way to see a lot of animals in Sydney and you have also an incredible view over Sydney.

Looks like ski cable cars :)

Palm Beach and the Basin

From Palm Beach with the ferry to the Basin, a stunning place surrounded by forrest. We had a nice refreshment in "The Basin" and saw some wallabies and a "baby" lizard, we don't want to meet his parents..!

Sydney Tower Eye

We visited the Sydney Tower Eye with an amazing overview of the hole city, the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. It's unbelievable how far you can see from there!

First you see a 4D Movie about Sydney

Morisset Kangaroos

We enjoyed a nice afternoon with a lot of cute kangaroos :)

If you are anytime in Sydney it's definitely worth the 2 hours travel from the city!

Firework Harbour Bridge

On the occasion of the International Fleet Review, the biggest event in Sydney Harbour for 100 years, was there a very big firework in the Sydney Harbour and around the Harbour Bridge. Here some pictures and a nice short video from Milson Point with the great finale!

Palm Beach on fire

First, it was a really nice trip to Palm Beach and we enjoyed the walk up to the lighthouse with a beautiful view over the two beaches

But one hour later when we just arrived at the beach there was a bushfire right on the track up to the lighthouse!

First it was very small

But within 30 minutes it grew to a huge bushfire

After 40 minutes the first fire fighting helicopter arrived to protect the lighthouse and the buildings around it.

The lighthouse was successfully protected and wasn't damaged but all the wood was destroyed. There are only rocks and cliffs left and it looks now a bit sad...

Fortunately we were already back on the beach and not on the way to the lighthouse...

A point right behind Sydney with a very nice view over the city
